Overall life expectancy for both men and women in Shropshire has increased since 2002-04. Life expectancy for men is higher than the national average and for females it is similar to the national average.
Data shows that males living in rural areas of Shropshire have a higher life expectancy than those living in more urban areas, however the life expectancy for females is similar in both rural and urban areas.
