The revised Bridgnorth and Surrounding Area Place Plan for the period 2013-2014 is now available to view on this page.
The vision for Bridgnorth is found in the Core Strategy Policy CS3, and is as follows:
"Bridgnorth will provide a focus for development within the constraints of its location on the edge of the green belt and on the River Severn."
In order to achieve this vision a place plan has been prepared specifically for Bridgnorth and its surrounding hinterland. The place plan identifies the priorities for investment and infrastructure within the local area.
Evidence has been collected from a number of local sources in order to identify the local priorities for Bridgnorth and the surrounding hinterland. These include community responses made on the Shropshire Local Development Framework (LDF), comments made at local joint committees and at Community Toolkit events, and from parish and town plans.
Updating place plans
The place plans are 'live' documents, meaning that they will be updated annually, although in the meantime the council would like to hear any views people may have. This regular update will allow the place plans to reflect any changes to local priorities, for instance through the preparation of town and parish plans.
