A series of drainage schemes between Church Stretton and Wistanstow will involve overnight (8pm to 6am) closure and temporary traffic signals from 16 October until 19 January. The overnight closures are scheduled to be in place for a four-week period followed by overnight works under temporary signal control for the remainder of the programme.

There's also a programme to renew and repair street lighting through Bayston Hill and carry out urgent carriageway patching/ drainage works just north of Dorrington. Work is due to commence on 13 November with overnight (8pm to 6am) closures scheduled from 4 December through to 20 January. Where possible and where road width allows the work will be carried out under temporary signals – so this programme is the best estimate at this time and may be subject to change. There will be a break from overnight closures during the Christmas and new year break.
