Medicine records

Livestock keepers are required to keep a record of medicines administered to livestock that is traceable to protect the human food chain.

This includes:

Purchases

Dates of purchases of medicine, quantity acquired, product names and batch numbers, name and address of supplier.

Administration

Date of administration, who administered the medicine, quantity, animals treated (tag numbers / whole flock/Herd), withdrawal period dates.

Disposal

Date of disposal, product details, batch numbers and quantity disposed of, route of disposal.
