What we can do for you
We deliver and coordinate learning and training opportunities for people who deliver social care and health services in Shropshire. This includes people working for Shropshire Council, Health, Housing, as well as people who work for private and voluntary care homes and employers.
Why is it important?
Learning opportunities in Social Care are important because:
- social care and health is the third biggest employer in Shropshire
- over three quarters of the social care services in Shropshire are delivered by people who work for private care employers
- everybody that provides direct care services must meet the training and qualification standards set out by the National Care Standards Commission Regulations and Standards.
