Self-build homes - eligibility criteria and fees
Eligibility criteria
To register you must be:
- Over 18 years old
- A British citizen (or citizen within the European Economic Area (EEA), or a national of Switzerland)
- An individual or group
- Seeking to acquire a 'serviced plot of land' in Shropshire to build a house as your main residence
- Have paid your annual subscription charge
If you don't meet all of the above criteria, you're not eligible to go on the register.
Subscription charge
There's a one-off subscription charge of £38.50 plus VAT. These charges have been introduced to cover administration costs and time taken in maintaining the register.
You can quickly and easily pay your subscription charge using our secure online payments system by clicking on the 'Pay now' button below. Once you've made your payment, you'll need to come back to these pages to complete the online form to provide the information for the register itself. In order to become fully registered you'll be required to complete a questionnaire.
Please be sure to make a note of your payment reference number as you'll need this to complete your new registration request.
Already on our old register?
If you completed our previous survey and are already on the register, you should have received an email from us explaining the new charges, how to get on the new chargeable register and how to pay. Anyone who we don't hear back from by the end of May 2018 will be automatically removed.
