4.  Police Report
To receive a verbal update by Police representatives on activities within the LJC area.(Note: Police representatives will be in attendance, 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the meeting, to respond to any matters raised individually with them.)

5.  Budget 2009/2010 Decision Report

6.  Affordable Housing
In response to a request made at the meeting in September, Malcolm Price, Shropshire Council's Cabinet Member for Housing and the Committee's Support Officer, Jake Berriman (Head of Strategy and Policy) will give a presentation on "Affordable Housing". Claire Hughes, Rural Enabling Officer will also be present to assist with discussion and responses to any queries by members and the public.Contact Jake Berriman 01743 255666

7.  Rural Roads and Highways - Maintenance
In response to a request made at the meeting in September, Chris Fisher, Shropshire Council's Highways Manager for this LJC area, will be present to assist with discussion on the item and to respond to any queries by members and the public.(Note: Members will also be aware that Shropshire Council has been consulting town and parish councils on 2 draft documents, the Urban Speed Limit Policy and Rural Roads Speed Limit Policy. It is intended that these documents, which form part of the Council's wider Speed Management Strategy, will be considered for approval by the Council's Cabinet in late January 2010.)

8.  Shropshire Link Service/Bus Services
In response to a request made at the September meeting, to receive feedback on the issues raised relating to the Shropshire Link Service and local bus services.A copy of the relevant minute and report on the review of the Rural Transport Strategy,submitted to the Council's Development Services Scrutiny Committee is attached for members' information, marked 8.

9.  Rural Community Engagement

10.  Teme Leisure - Feedback
A copy of a letter from Lee Hassan, General Manager (Teme Leisure) to Councillor Peter Phillips on some of the points raised at the meeting in July 2009, is attached for members' information only, marked 10.

11.  Shropshire Council Consultations
The Shropshire Partnership's new Consultation Portal summarises all the consultation activities that Shropshire Council and their partners are involved in. The Portal is intended for members of the public, community groups, town/parish councils and Local Joints Committees, as well as those planning to undertake consultation activities in public sector organisations.It can be viewed at: www.shropshirepartnership.org.uk where the link to the Consultation Portal is on the left hand menu. Current and planned consultations or completed consultations can be selected by clicking the tabs on the page. The Consultation Portal can also be accessed by clicking on the "Have Your Say" link on the homepage of Shropshire Council's website: shropshire.gov.uk.Current consultations include the following:(a) Budget Consultation 2010-2011 This year Shropshire Council is asking residents to have their say on what services the Council should prioritise when budget planning for 2010/2011. Further details, including an on-line survey is accessible via the website. The deadline for comments is 22nd January 2010. A copy of the handouts accompanying the LJC consultation process is attached for information only.(b) Sustainable Community Strategy Final consultation on the vision, themes and cross cutting issues for the forthcoming Sustainable Community Strategy is currently taking place, ahead of its proposed adoption in Spring 2010. Further details including a draft document and questionnaire is accessible via the website. The deadline for comments is 12th February 2010.(c) Shropshire Parish Charter To agree a charter (framework for working together) between Shropshire Council and the town and parish councils in Shropshire. Further details, including a draft charter is available via the website. The deadline for comments is 31st March 2010.
