3.  Note
A note of the last meeting held on 21 September 2009 is attached. Contact David Wise (01743 252726) Arising thereon: Public Consultation on moving Broseley Post Office (Item 8) Post Office Ltd, in a letter of 7 October 2009, confirmed that the re-location of Broseley Post Office would proceed as planned. Concerns raised during the consultation period about the state of the car parking facilities have been brought to the attention of the owners of the car park. The Post Office also indicated that they would support any approach to the Council, made by the new sub-postmaster to have a designated disabled parking bay nearer the new premises. The issue of an additional disabled parking bay has been raised with Council officers and any response will be reported at the meeting.

4.  Shropshire Council Budget Consultation 20010/11
To seek local people’s views on proposals for Shropshire Council’s 20010/11 budget. Keith Barrow, Leader of Shropshire Council and Cheryl Willliams Corporate Finance Manager (Contact 01743 254581) will be in attendance.

Crime and anti-social behaviour statistics for the period 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009 are attached.

Applications have been received from Broseley Boxing Club, St Winefride’s Church Committee, Willey Village Hall Committee and Wyldwoods. A report will be presented at the meeting.

8.  Shropshire Council Consultation Items (for information
The Shropshire Partnership’s new Consultation Portal summarises all the consultation activities that Shropshire Council and their partners are involved in. The Consultation Portal is intended for members of the public, community groups, town and parish councils and Local Joint Committees, as well as those planning to undertake consultation activities in public sector organisations.
It can be viewed at: www.shropshirepartnership.org.uk, where the link to the Consultation Portal is on the left hand menu. 8.1.  Shropshire’s new Community Strategy 2010-2020
The Shropshire Partnership are inviting members of the public to comment by 12 February 2010 on the final draft version of the Community Strategy by viewing and completing the questionnaire on their website. The Community Strategy will guide the way public agencies, the voluntary sector and business groups will work together in partnership over the coming decade and will help guide future policy and funding decisions. The document outlines the challenges and priorities that residents have said need addressing in Shropshire over the next ten years.
8.2.  Evolution, Revolution & Innovation: Culture in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin
The new draft Cultural Strategy embraces a partnership approach between Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Councils and the private and voluntary sectors. It has been developed by the new sub-regional Cultural Consortium whose members represent culture, regeneration, health, equality and diversity, safer communities and young people.
The draft Cultural Strategy is now available for public consultation with a deadline for feedback of 9 December 2009. The final document will be considered by the Cabinets of both Councils and will be published in the New Year.
