2.  Apologies for Absence/ Substitutions
Under the constitution parish/town council substitutes are allowed at meetings provided the represented body informs the Chair and Secretary three days prior to a meeting. Notice of any substitutions should be received by 1 May 2010.

A note of the last meeting held on 2 March 2010 is attached. Contact David Wise (01743 252726)Arising thereon: Update on Public Transport connections to William Brookes School (Item 4) To report that the additional £500,000 allocated to the Public Transport budget is intended to meet (in part) the forecast overspend in the 2010/11 financial year. This additional budget does not meet the forecast overspend in full and it is likely therefore that there will be a decrease in services.

6.  Site Allocations and Management of Development (SAMDev).
The second major part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) outlines potential allocations of land and detailed policies to manage new development, following the Strategic Framework of the Core Strategy (which sets out the long term vision, objectives and policies but does not go into detail or allocate specific sites for development).The Issues and Options document has been open to consultation since 2 April with comments being requested by 25 June 2010. A separate SAMDev consultation document is being produced for each LJC area, (except for the Shrewsbury and Bayston Hill LJCs where there is one single document), in order to make the process more meaningful and accessible to the public and stakeholders. Copies of Planning for a flourishing Shropshire in the Broseley and Barrow Local Joint Committee area will be available at the meeting. It can also be downloaded from http://shropshire.gov.uk/planning nsf/open/5F0348FBB3E36E2F802576F600487DA5 or the webpage for this meeting. It is emphasised that at this stage, no decisions have been made about the suitability of any of the sites identified in the Broseley area which have been published to allow initial comments. Adrian Cooper, Environment Policy Team Leader (01743 252568) will be at the meeting to give more information on the consultation including the showing of a short video and to answer questions from the audience.
