1. Election of Chairman
The Chairman of the Local Joint Committee must be a Shropshire Councillor.

2. Welcome and Apologies
To welcome those in attendance and to receive any apologies for absence.

3. Appointment of Vice Chairman
Any Member is eligible to be appointed Vice Chairman of the Local Joint Committee.

4. Declarations of Interest
A Guidance Note on declaring personal and prejudicial interests will be available at the meeting.

5. Notes of the Meeting held on 1 March 2012
To consider the Notes of the meeting of the Ludlow & Clee Area Local Joint Committee held on 1 March 2012. Notes are attached, marked 5.

6. Report for Police and Communities Together [PACT]
To receive any feedback from the local PACT meetings and/or a report from the local Policing team to include information on Rural Watch.

7. SmartWater Initiative
To receive a presentation and information on the SmartWater initiative.

8. Any Questions Session
This will provide an opportunity for everyone at the meeting to raise any burning issues they may have. There will be an ‘expert panel’ comprising representatives from the Police, South Shropshire Housing Association, Street Scene, South Shropshire Furniture Scheme and your local Councillors who will try and answer your queries. Anyone who does not receive an answer on the night will receive a written response following the meeting

9. Pride of Place
A presentation on the Pride of Place project will be provided by Mr Graeme Perks and Mr George Cummings. The presentation will feature the achievements of the project and will also highlight any areas that need to be addressed through the work of the project in future.

10. Update on the Work of Street Scene in the Area
Shropshire Council’s StreetScene Manager, Kate Adams will provide an update on various matters including information on Fixed Penalty Notices issued in the area, fly-tipping, dog fouling patrols, how to report dog fouling, stray dogs, abandoned vehicles etc. A Briefing Note is attached, marked 10.

11. Sustainable Transport Project in the Ludlow Area
Jan Cook from Shropshire Council’s Traffic and Transport Studies team will give a presentation on the Sustainable Transport Project in the Ludlow area. A Briefing Note is attached, marked 11.

12. Update on Vehicle Activated Signs in the Area - Information
The Chairman will provide an update at the meeting on the progress of the vehicle activated signs initiative in Ludlow and the surrounding area.

13. 2012/13 Finance Report, including Update on Funding Requests
Applications for financial assistance will be considered. This is the first allocation of funding in the current financial year 2012/13. The report is attached, marked 13.

14. Market Towns Revitalisation Programme and Community Action Update
An update will be given on the progress of local projects that have been considered for funding under the Market Towns Revitalisation Programme and the Community Action Officer will provide a brief update on her work and the local projects that are being supported in the Ludlow and Clee area.

15. For Information - Current Consultations
To note any information available at the meeting relating to details of ongoing consultations being undertaken by Shropshire Council.

The next meeting of the Ludlow & Clee Area Local Joint Committee will be held at 7.00pm on Thursday 18 October 2012 at The Studio, Ludlow Assembly Rooms, Mill Street, Ludlow SY8 1AZ
