Discretionary additional restrictions grant
Following the additional funding made available in the recent Budget announcement a new round of DARG funding is available and we are accepting new applications from Monday 19 April 2021.
These are available on a first come first served basis. The scheme will remain open until Friday 30 April 2021 or until we have allocated all the funds available, which may result in an earlier closing date. We encourage you to apply as soon as you can to avoid missing out.
A one-off grant of £2,500 is available for successful applicants.
- Previously mandated to close by government (businesses in non-essential retail, hospitality, personal care, sports and leisure) or,
- Operate in the retail, hospitality and leisure sector and its supply chain (in commercial premises either with or without business rates liability or from home) or,
- Operate businesses within the events sector (in commercial premises either with or without business rates liability or from home)
Please note: If you are successful in this application round you will be sent a further email with a verification code and link to an additional confirmation form. This must be completed before receiving the funding on offer.
This two-step process is necessary to ensure all data is captured in the format government requires.
Previous DARG applicants
If you have already been awarded a grant in previous rounds of DARG and meet the criteria above you do not need to apply again, but there will be some further information that you will need to provide.
You will receive a verification and declaration email from email@example.com to the email address that you applied with that you must complete in order to access the grant.
Please check your junk email or clutter for this email that will be sent on or after 19 April 2021 and make sure you respond and provide the further information government have now asked for asap.
It is your responsibility to respond to this email and supply the requested details. If we have not received this from, we will not be able to pay your business any grant.
There will be a number of businesses who have been awarded previous grants that are not eligible for a payment from this latest round of grants i.e. predominately those who applied under the ‘Business not mandated to close by government but have been severely impacted’ category.
If your business is within this category you will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org advising you of this rejection from the current round of grant funding on or after 19 April 2021.
