Advertising costs will need to be agreed and included in your direct payment budget. Speak to your social worker for more information. Options include: 

• Word of mouth - speak to family, friends, neighbours and local contacts (hairdresser etc) 
• Contact local colleges, local special schools 
• Advertise in local shops, supermarkets, community noticeboards etc. There may or may not be a cost
• Speak to your social worker as Shropshire Council has a number of PAs on a local list 
• Local press, eg Shrewsbury Now: cost is £4 per single column centimetre plus VAT.  Example: Height 8cm x two columns (6.4cm) = £64 + VAT. The deadline for an advert is Tuesday at midday for that week’s edition. Distributed in Shrewsbury, Church Stretton and surrounding villages
• Job centre website: Gov.UK advertise a job. This is a free service
• Gumtree.com - costing £39 + VAT
• Social media. You can advertise on Facebook etc, although bear in mind your safety and don't include too much information that could be used to identify you
• Online recruitment, eg Indeed – a PA role is a sponsored job type so it's not possible to advertise this role for free. A budget and end date can be set. Costs are based on number of clicks.
