Shropshire Council

Low-cost Covid risk assessment training

Under the guidance issued by the government, businesses open at this time must undertake a Covid-19 risk assessment to ensure they can operate safely.

To help businesses in Shropshire who are worried about producing a risk assessment or maybe don’t know how to complete one, we've negotiated a 10% discount for local businesses to use against a low-cost, online Covid-19 risk assessment course. We want to ensure that businesses are able to successfully complete their risk assessments, to ensure the safety of staff and customers and to minimise the possibility of future enforcement action.

Covid-19: Business Reopening, developed, written and narrated by the respected chartered environmental health practitioner, Dr Lisa Ackerley for RHE Global, shows businesses how to carry out a Covid-19 risk assessment in the workplace.

The course guides you through the process of working out how to put into place control measures to keep staff, visitors and customers safe.

Regardless of the nature or size of your businesses, this easy-to-follow course includes a narration, useful templates, signs and a guidance document to download.

The course is aimed at businesses, proprietors, managers, those with health and safety responsibilities and those helping businesses to comply.

The course lasts around an hour and can be completed at the learner’s own pace. The advertised cost of this training is £25 (+VAT) but use the code SHROPSHIRE10 in the promotional field in the third section of the booking form to take advantage of this offer (nb the code is case sensitive). A CPD certificate will be awarded on completion.

If you are interested, you can book via RHE Global’s dedicated training website. For more information or assistance please contact or call 01239 711793.

In addition, we've also produced a toolkit for businesses offering guidance on the reopening of key sectors of businesses, and the precautions that should be taken to ensure a Covid-19-secure operation.
