Changes to premises inspections

In response to the global outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and in response to requests from local businesses,  Shropshire Council is taking steps in regard to our current inspection process and visiting new premises, to ensure the safety of business owners, the public, and our officers.

You will have been directed to this page by one of our officers and you'll have been asked to complete a self-assessment questionnaire.

The questionnaire is easy to complete and has been designed to assist you, and our officers in ensuring the safety of the food that you produce, store or sell.

Please try to answer all questions as fully as possible. If you're unsure of an answer please comment with as much information as you can.  If we need further details we will be in touch.  The information will then be stored as a record of your food business activities. 

The questionnaire will also help to ensure that we have the most up to date information regarding your premises and, help us to determine whether a further inspection is necessary.  This form will not replace the need for an inspection in the future and should be viewed as interim measure.
