Description

This traffic regulation order is being proposed to:

  • Ensure the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians in this location within the town centre
  • Provide designated places to park and load as well as preventing vehicles stopping in locations that cause congestion
  • Minimise the damage caused to property and premises by vehicles that are unable to safely pass through these localised pinch points in the town centre.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (VARIOUS ROADS, MUCH WENLOCK) (AMENDMENT) ORDER

We propose to change the parking restrictions on various roads in Much Wenlock, as set out below:

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME

AND NO LOADING 10AM – 4PM

WILMORE STREET

East side

  • From a point adjacent to the southernmost property boundary of 11 Bullring to the junction with Barrow Street/High Street

West side

  • From the property boundary of 4/5 Wilmore Street to the junction with Barrow Street/High Street.

BARROW STREET

South side

  • From a point opposite the property boundary of 19/20 Barrow Street for a distance of 52m in a southeasterly direction

North side

  • From the junction with High Street/Wilmore Street for a distance of 65m in a southeasterly direction

HIGH STREET

West side

  • From a point adjacent to the northernmost property boundary of 65 High Street to the junction with Wilmore Street/Barrow Street

East side

  • From a point adjacent to the northernmost property boundary of 1 The Square for a distance of 3m in a north easterly direction

LOADING BAY

8AM-4PM

BARROW STREET

South side

  • From a point opposite the property boundary of 19/20 Barrow Street for a distance of 7m in a northwesterly direction

WILMORE STREET

West side

  • From the property boundary of 4/5 Wilmore Street for a distance of 7m in a northwesterly direction

DISABLED BAY (BBH HOLDERS)

(40 minutes maximum stay and no return within one hour)

HIGH STREET

East side

  • From a point 3 northeast of northernmost property boundary of 1 The Square for a distance of 5m in a northeasterly direction

NO WAITING AND NO LOADING AT ANY TIME

BARROW STREET

South side

  • From the junction with High Street/Wilmore Street for a distance of 6m in an easterly direction to a point opposite the property boundary of 21/22 Barrow Street

Any existing waiting restrictions at the above locations will be revoked.

Please note that these proposals replace those advertised in June 2016.
