THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (VARIOUS ROADS, SHREWSBURY) (AMENDMENT) ORDER
Shropshire Council proposes to make the following changes to parking restrictions in Shrewsbury:
a) No Waiting At Any Time restrictions will be placed on:
Arlington Way |
Between a point 81.7 metres north-east of its junction with Featherbed Lane (measured from the back of the footway), and a point 15m north of its junction with Woodvine Road (measured from the centre of the junction). |
Broughton Road |
From its junction with Meadow Farm Drive north-eastwards for a distance of 16 metres measured from the Give Way line. |
Copthorne Drive (Section that contains no. 28 Copthorne Drive and no. 47 Copthorne Drive) |
From a point 10 metres east of the party wall of no. 29 and no. 30 Copthorne Drive westwards for a distance of 41 metres |
Corndon Crescent |
From its junction with Meadow Farm Drive south-westwards for a distance of 15 metres measured from the Give Way line. |
Corporation Lane |
From a point adjacent to the property boundary of no. 4 and no. 5 Benbow Close, northerly to a point adjacent to the party wall of no. 7 and no. 8 Benbow Close. |

Entrance to Shrewsbury Castle |
That land in the ownership of Shropshire Council from its junction with Castle Street and Castle Gates to a point 7 metres south-west of the north-easternmost building line of No. 24 Castle Street. |
c) Loading Only - Monday–Saturday, 8am–10am & 2pm–4pm restrictions will be placed on:
Crowmere Road |
From a point adjacent to the property boundary of no. 45 Crowmere Road and no. 47 – 49 Crowmere Road, and a point adjacent to the property boundary of no. 47 - 49 Crowmere Road and no. 51 Crowmere Road. |
d) No Waiting Monday-Saturday, 8am-6.30pm restrictions will be placed on:
Greyfriars Road |
Between a point 15 metres north-west of its junction with Belle Vue Road and a point 32 metres north-west of its junction with Belle Vue Road, measured from the Give Way line. |
e) Limited Waiting Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm, 1 Hour No Return Within 1 Hour restrictions will be placed on:
Longden Road (Waiting bay south of Meole Brace School entrance) |
From a point 57 metres north-east of the northern kerb line of Stanley Lane north-eastwards for a distance of 54 metres. |
Stanley Lane (Waiting bay west of Meole Brace School pedestrian entrance) |
From a point 124 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb line of Longden Road eastwards for a distance of 56 metres. |
f) No Waiting or Loading At Any Time restrictions will be placed on:
Conway Drive |
From its junction with Monkmoor Road south-eastwards to a point 5 metres south-east of the property boundary of no. 10 and no.12 Conway Drive |
Monkmoor Road |
From a point 1 metre north-east of the party wall of no. 263A and 263B Monkmoor Road south-westerly for a distance of 71 metres. |
g) Limited Waiting Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm, 1 hour No return 1 hour restrictions will be placed on:
Greyfriars Road |
From a point 8 metres north-west of the property boundary of no. 13 and no. 14 Greyfriars Road to a point 57 metres north-west of the junction with Belle Vue Road measured from the give way line. |
Any existing restrictions at the above locations will be revoked.
