Submit a local land charge search
|We would request that, whilst the Government advice is to work from home, searches are only submitted to us via electronic means i.e. NLIS or email at email@example.com and payment can then be made either by BACS or we can call to take payment over the phone.|
A local land charge search consists of:
The LLC1 - this is the official certificate that deals with all the charges recorded in the Local Land Charges Register. These charges include, for example: grants, tree preservation orders, financial charges, listed buildings, and conservation areas.
The conveyancing form (Con 29) - this deals with proposed issues such as road schemes, drainage, environmental matters, tree preservation orders etc. It deals with matters not held on the Local Land Charges Register. The form is divided into two parts: Con29 (R) and Con29 (O).
A local land charge search will only give information relating to the property and/or land identified on the plan, it won't give information relating to adjoining or nearby properties.
If you have a more specific query, there's some more information on our Land Charges FAQs page.
