Which streets operate digital resident permits?

Digital permits can be purchased by eligible households for the following zones in Ludlow:

Does a digital on-street resident permit guarantee me a parking space?

Unfortunately, purchasing a digital permit doesn't guarantee you a parking space within the designated bays in your zone.

Where do I display my digital resident permit?

There will be no physical permit to display. Civil enforcement officers are able to view details of digital permits via a handheld computer whilst they're on patrol.

Can I update my own digital resident permit?

Yes. Changes to vehicle registration numbers can be changed via the MiPermit portal. Failure to update vehicle registration numbers may result in a penalty charge notice being issued. 

How many cars can be registered on my digital resident permit?

Numerous vehicles can be registered on the applicant’s account. The vehicle registered on the resident's on-street permit must be kept at the address of the permit holder A vehicle registration number on a digital permit can be updated at any time. However, the digital permit is only valid for one vehicle at any one time. It's the permit holder’s responsibility to register the vehicle in use at that time. Failure to update vehicle registration numbers may result in a penalty charge notice being issued. 

Can I still purchase visitor scratchcards?

No. As of 19 November 2018, residents in Ludlow can have 200 hours free parking for visitors instead of visitor scratch cards, which are no longer available. These hours are free if selected when purchasing a Ludlow on-street resident's permit. A vehicle registration number on a digital permit can be updated at any time. However, the digital permit is only valid for one vehicle at any one time. It's the permit holder’s responsibility to register the vehicle in use at that time. Failure to update vehicle registration numbers may result in a penalty charge notice being issued. 

What if I use my 200 hours before the expiry date?

Eligible householders are only entitled to 200 hours per year. If the 200 hours are used before the expiry date, no additional hours can be allocated or purchased within that 12-month period. 

What do I do if I no longer require my digital resident permit?

Log on to the MiPermit portal and cancel the digital permit.

Can I get a refund on my digital resident permit?

Yes. Cancelling your digital permit through the MiPermit portal will entitle you to a refund for only the full months left on the permit. Refunds will be processed, taking into consideration the original purchase method. In the event of a permit being cancelled by the permit holder, all unused visitor permit hours will be withdrawn.

What do I do if I temporarily have a hire/courtesy car?

A vehicle registration number on a digital permit can be updated at any time by logging on to the MiPermit portal. You can register a hire/courtesy vehicle registration number on a temporary basis, and when your own car is returned you simply need to log onto the MiPermit portal and amend the registration number.

However, the digital permit is only valid for one vehicle at any one time. It's the permit holder’s responsibility to register the vehicle in use at that time. Failure to update vehicle registration numbers may result in a penalty charge notice being issued.
