Important Update - Short breaks during social distancing

14 May 2020 Last updated at 10:45

As you know since the end of March, All-in providers have had to stop or significantly reduce their activities for the time being.

On Monday 11 May 2020, the government published guidance on its plans to easing the current lock-down restrictions.

It is called “Our plan to rebuild: The UK Government’s COVID-19 recovery strategy

The Government’s roadmap for how and when the UK will adjust its response to the COVID-19 crisis.”

The document says that “In the near term, we cannot afford to make drastic changes”.

It advises that “people will need to minimise the spread of the disease through continuing good hygiene practices: hand washing, social distancing and regular disinfecting of surfaces touched by others. These will be in place for some time.”

As social distancing remains a requirement for the time being, we expect that the situation for All-in providers remains unchanged.

Having said that we will continue to require providers to:

  • Let us know what their position is;
  • Let us know whether and how they can support in other ways;
  • To continue to stay in touch with families.

Since our last update, a number of providers have applied for ‘relief support’ scheme. This is welcome news. The scheme should enable providers to remain in business and to resume ‘normal activities’ as soon as that is permitted.

We will update this website regularly and as soon as there are new developments.
