Maintained schools, academies, free schools and pupil referral units have a duty to provide children and young people from Year 8 with independent careers guidance. Further educational settings are also required to provide careers advice for their students up to the age of 18 or to 25 for students with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Please contact your education setting to find out about the careers advice they have to offer. See the Careers guidance and access for education and training providers at the Gov.uk website.
