13. Appointment of Cabinet Member to the West Mercia Supplies Joint Board
The Council is represented on the West Mercia Supplies Joint Committee by three Cabinet members, each of whom is appointed by the Leader of the Council. Following the resignation of Mrs C. M. A. Motley, the Council is asked to note that her replacement will be Mr S Jones.

14. Motions
The following motion has been received in accordance with Procedure Rule 16: 14.1 The following motion has been received from Councillor P. F. Phillips: “Age UK report that 73% of older people still use cheques and that 63% of all age group would find it a problem if they were no longer available. Council resolves to support the campaign to save the cheque from the banking industry’s plans to abolish it by 2018. Council notes in so doing that many national organisations have joined the campaign to save the cheque including Age UK, Which?, RNIB and the Federation of Small Businesses. All have grave concerns that the banks' decision will hurt the most vulnerable, charities and many small businesses who rely on cheques.”
