11. Motions
The following motions have been received in accordance with Procedure Rule 16:
11.1 The following motion has been received from Councillor Stuart West:
"That Shropshire Council supports the installation of sprinkler systems in all new build properties, initially in social housing, residential homes and affordable housing but ultimately in all new build properties in Shropshire, and will actively lobby and pressure Government to bring in legislation with some urgency. Sprinkler systems are proven to save lives, property and reduce the impact of smoke inhalation on future health issues. I urgently encourage Members to support this motion, and help make Shropshire a safer place to live."
Exclusion of the Press and Public
To RESOLVE that in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 12A, Local Government Act 1972 and paragraph 10.4(3) of the Council's Access to Information Procedure Rules, the public and press be excluded during the consideration of the following item.
