13.  DEFRA Consultation document: An invitation to shape the nature of England (11.35-12.10 p.m.)
Defra have produced a consultation document, (summary attached marked: E) in advance of a new White Paper on the natural environment, planned for Spring 2011. The current consultation has a deadline of 30th October.The document seeks answers to a number of questions and the Forum are asked to discuss questions 6, 7 and 8 to enable a response to be made on their behalf. Comments on other questions in the document paper for incorporation in the response are welcome by e-mail or in writing by 21 October. 15.  Future meetings/ frequency/ format of away day/future agenda items (12.20- 12.30 p.m.)
Future meetings have been confirmed for Monday 24 January 2011 and Wednesday 27 April 2011. The Forum are asked whether they are happy to continue on the normal basis of quarterly meetings with an away day. Proposed dates for 2011/12 will be put to the next meeting for approval.
