(b) Dedication of Natural England Freehold National Nature Reserves
In November 2011 the Natural England Board decided that all parts of the eligible NNRs and similar holdings should be dedicated for permanent public access unless there are compelling reasons not to do so. In April 2012, planning for the four-year implementation programme got underway, with the first six-monthly batch of dedication proposals being ready for approval in September this year. The dedication of NNRs in Shropshire, namely the Stiperstones and Fenn’s, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses are scheduled to be completed in March 2014 and September 2014 respectively. Accordingly, at this point in time, this item is for noting purposes only and the item will be put to a future meeting for consideration.
(c) Stopping Up and Diversion Orders: Reform of the Application Process for Local Highway – Interim Report
To note the position to date. The interim report considering implementation of option 1 has been published.
