A petition bearing over 400 signatures has been received from Nick Saxby requesting a debate under the Council’s Petition Scheme.

This petition urges Shropshire Council to:

·         Commit to making Whitchurch Swimming Centre useable.

·         Work with contractors and partners to develop solutions for adapting the centre for social distancing.

·         Engage with the community on the obstacles to opening the pool. 

The petitioner will be allowed 5 minutes to outline their case through written submission, after which there may be a debate of up to a maximum of 15 minutes.

The petition requests Shropshire Council to commission an in-depth review of the traffic, cycling and pedestrian problems in The Meole area and to publish and implement comprehensive and practical solutions.
