4. Changes to Local Joint Committee boundaries
One of the changes to LJCs agreed by Shropshire Council on 9 December 2010 was that the neighbouring parishes of All Stretton, Smethcott and Woolstaston, Cardington and Leebotwood and Longnor should, with immediate effect, join StrettonDale Local Joint Committee, for a trial period of six months/two meetings. Accordingly no representatives from these three parish councils have been invited to attend this meeting. The main reason for the trial is because these southern parishes may have more affinity with Church Stretton and Corvedale.

6. Fire and Rescue Service
It is anticipated that a representative from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will be in attendance to answer any questions that arise from the attached briefing note.

This part of the meeting will consider the problems faced by rural communities and their economic and regeneration needs.

10.1 . Public consultation - Reconfiguration of Hospital Services in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin
A public consultation exercise is being undertaken on the best way of organising hospital services at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. 10.2. Bus Strategy for Shropshire 2011 - 2016 – Consultation
Shropshire Council are facing some difficult decisions in the short and medium term as financial pressures increase on the budget for the provision of supported local bus services. This will affect the delivery and sustainability of bus services in all areas of the county. Shropshire Council must ensure that the money they have available is targeted at bus services which are essential in enabling people to go about their daily lives. Shropshire Council are consulting during January to March 2011 with people across Shropshire about proposed changes to local bus services. Comments from the consultation process will be considered in the final Bus Strategy Bus Strategy for Shropshire Council 2011 – 2016 which will be submitted to the Council in April 2011.The Strategy and details on how to respond to the consultation can be viewed athttp://shropshire.gov.uk/transportconsultationIn addition a series of consultation events are being held where council officers will be available to answer any comments on the bus strategy and record any comments in response to the consultation.

10.3. Local Transport Plan for Shropshire Consultation
The bus strategy forms part of a wider Local Transport Plan (LTP) which covers all aspects of Transport and Highways. Consultations have started on a new Local Transport Plan which will set out policies and priorities for the next 15 years. 12. Dates of meetings in 2011/12
Shropshire Council have decided that there will be a reduction in the number of Local Joint Committee meetings. The Chairman has suggested that meetings should be held in September 2010 and March 2011. The photocopied Agenda papers have been produced on recycled paper..
