Cabinet considered a report by the Director of Commissioning on the results of the consultation on the Council’s draft commissioning strategy “Commissioning for the Future” and proposed adoption of this strategy.  The report also identified amendments to the original consultation draft which enhanced the effectiveness of the strategy and, which were proposed to be incorporated into the final version of the strategy.  Also incorporated was an update to the Council’s Procurement Strategy which reflected the principles in “Commissioning for the Future”.

(a)  That approval be given to the commissioning strategy “Commissioning for the Future” for adoption.

(b)  That the update to the Procurement Strategy be approved.
