The Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services considered a report by the Director of Children’s Services on the proposed redesign of Residential Services which concerned the provision of residential care for children looked after and their role in delivering services to children and families as part of their journey through the authority’s services and in achieving the overall outcomes for children.

That the redesign of children’s residential care be approved. 

Note: This could include the closure of the Rowans children’s home and the expansion of Chelmaron.  Any such proposals will involve separate consultation with those affected, where appropriate
