Decision Maker: Decision Making Session by Portfolio Holder for Planning, Housing and Commissioning (Central)
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: Yes
Is subject to call in?: Yes
Purpose:
The Portfolio Holder for Planning, Housing and Commissioning (Central) considered a report on the Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan which had been through an examination conducted by an independent Examiner. Shropshire Council as the Local Planning Authority was tasked with considering the recommendations of the Inspector and determining whether the Plan could proceed to the Referendum stage.
Decision:
A. That the modification of the Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan be agreed to meet the Independent Examiner’s recommendations.
B. That agreement be given that the Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan as modified subject to the Independent Examiner’s recommendations proceeds to a Referendum.
Reasons for the decision:
To consider the Examiner’s recommendations, and whether to accept them, whether the Neighbourhood Plan as amended met the basic conditions, was compatible with human rights requirements, and complied with the definition of a Neighbourhood Development Plan. If considered to meet these requirements, the Much Wenlock Neighbourhood Plan can then proceed to the Referendum stage.
