Saturday: 9.30am to 1pm.
Facilities
The Library at the Lantern offers a wide range of books, DVDs and talking books. Free access to the Internet is available through seven computers.
Because the library is located in The Lantern community building you can use it outside normal opening hours, between 10am and 5pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. During this time it will be possible to borrow, renew and return books, and other items, on a self-service basis.
The Lantern has a community hall and meeting rooms, disability services and a cafe.

Bookstart Rhyme Time
Rhyme Time is a song and rhyme session for 0 to 3 year olds.
Bookstart Story Time
Story and rhyme time for toddlers and pre-school children with a simple craft activity included in each session.

Free professional guidance for library members aged 9 to 16 years on the following days:
- Tuesday 3.45pm to 5.45pm
- Thursday 3.45pm to 5.45pm
This is now held in a separate IT suite off the foyer. There is free access to the internet, as well as printing and photocopying for homework.
