Garden waste collections

In addition to recycling and rubbish collections, we offer a separate kerbside collection of garden waste. We will collect any compostable garden waste including: -

leaves
grass cuttings
weeds
flowers
twigs
bark
hedge prunings
small branches
cut flowers
pot plants
windfall fruit and vegetables from the garden

What can't you collect?

cardboard
food waste (unless you live in North Shropshire or South Shropshire)
plastic bags
tetra Pak drinks cartons
soil and rubble

What happens to the garden waste?

It gets sent to local farms for composting. All the compost gets spread on agricultural land. We do not sell compost to the public.

What if I have extra garden waste?

We will collect one garden waste bin per property for free. We charge £60 per annum for an additional bin. If you have lots of garden waste we encourage you to home compost.
