Shropshire Council owns five Household Recycling Centres (HRCs). These are modern facilities where you can recycle 30 different types of waste.

Where are they?

• Bridgnorth HRC (Faraday Drive)
• Craven Arms HRC (off Long Lane)
• Oswestry HRC (Mile Oak Industrial Estate)
• Shrewsbury HRC (Battlefield Enterprise Park)
• Whitchurch HRC (Waymills Civic Park)

When are they open?

The above sites are open 9am to 5pm every day except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day when it closes.

Entry Permits

If you are bringing waste to the site in a van or large trailer you will need to apply for an entry permit in advance.

Materials you can recycle

You can recycle 30 different types of waste at our Household Recycling Centres. The possibilities are endless.

Bulky item collections

If you cannot take waste to the HRCs yourself then (for a small charge) we can arrange a collection for you.
