The extension of the southern 40 mph speed restriction at Stockton Crossroads, Norton is to facilitate the safe passage of vehicles along the A442, aiming to reduce the number of collisions around Stockton crossroads.

Shropshire Council proposes to place a 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads to the south of Norton:

Road Restrictions

A442

That length of the A442 Bridgnorth to Telford road from a point 288 metres south of its junction with Village Road to a point 165 metres south of the centre of the entrance to Apley Farm Shop, TF11 9EF.

Monarchs Way

From its junction with the A442 for distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

Church Lane

From its junction with the A442 for distance of 35 metres in a westerly direction.
