The speed limit is proposed to be reduced from 60mph to 40mph to assist with road safety for all road users at the A464 Upton Lane Crossroads, and to reduce the likelihood and severity of accidents.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
(DISTRICT OF BRIDGNORTH) (SPEED LIMITS)
ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to change the speed limits in the vicinity of the A464 Upton Crossroads, as follows: 

a. A 30mph speed limit will be placed on:

A464 Shifnal to Wolverhampton Road 
From a point 64m south-east of Wadlow Drive, for a distance of 86m in a south-easterly direction.

b. A 40mph speed limit will be placed on the following lengths of roads:

A464 Shifnal to Wolverhampton Road
From a point 150m south-east of the junction with Wadlow Drive, to a point 220m south-east of the junction with Upton Lane (north). A total length of 595m.

Upton Lane South
From the junction with the A464 Shifnal to Wolverhampton Road, for a distance of 204m in a south-westerly direction.

Upton Lane North
From the junction with the A464 Shifnal to Wolverhampton Road, for a distance of 22m in a north-easterly direction.
