Description

The introduction of a 30mph speed limit on the B4376 and variable 20mph/30mph speed limit outside Barrow 1618 C of E School, in line with council’s guidance from 2023, is proposed to improve the safety of school children, residents and other road users.

A wider 30mph limit is proposed on the approaches to the school. A variable 20mph/30mph speed limit is proposed in the immediate vicinity of the school access and an area where crossing movements occur by school children to reduce the speed to 20mph during school peak times.

Shropshire Council proposes to introduce the following speed limits around Barrow School:

30mph speed limit

B4376

From a point 112 metres west of the access road to St. Giles Church to a point 24 metres northeast of that junction.

From a point 24 metres southwest of the access to Wiley Park to a point 62 metres northeast of that access.
