Description

The introduction of limited waiting bays on Highley High Street will provide shoppers with sufficient time to park and shop and allow a constant change of vehicles, improving the amenities in the area.

The extension of the existing waiting restrictions in Highley will protect access to the existing parking areas, and improve the amenities in the area.

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (HIGH STREET AND CORONATION STREET, HIGHLEY) (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to make the following changes to parking restrictions on High Street and Coronation Street in Highley:

No Waiting at any time

Coronation Street
(North-west side)

From its junction with High Street for 38 metres in a north easterly direction.

Coronation Street
(South-east side)

From its junction with High Street for 21 metres in a north easterly direction.

High Street
(South-west side)

  1. Between a point 34 metres north of its junction with Silverdale Terrace and a point 2 metres north of its junction with Barke Street
  2. Between a point 8 metres south of its junction with Barke Street to a point 43 metres south of its junction with Barke Street
  3. From a point 56 metres south of its junction with Barke Street to its junction with Church Lane

High Street
(north-east side)

  1. Between a point 53 metres north of its junction with Coronation Street to a point 6 metres south of its junction with Orchard Street
  2. Between a point 11 metres north and 142 metres south of its junction with Barke Street

 

Limited Waiting – Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm

Any existing restrictions at the above locations will be revoked.
