Love Lane, Oswestry - Prohibition of motor vehicles
- Period: 25 February 2014 - 18 March 2014
- Status: Closed
- Audiences: Everyone
- Topics: Traffic management
- Type: Public
The introduction of a prohibition of motor vehicles traffic regulation order along Love Lane will reduce the danger to vulnerable road users using the road. And, having regard to the existing character of the lane, the restriction will also assist in preserving the amenities of the area through which it runs, and improve the quality of life for local residents.
THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (LOVE LANE, OSWESTRY)
(PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER
Shropshire Council proposes to make an order to prohibit all motor vehicles from using the following length of Love Lane in Oswestry from its junction with the B5069 Morda Road for a distance of 290 metres in a westerly and then south-westerly direction.
Exemptions to this restriction include:
- Emergency vehicles being used in an emergency
- Vehicles being used for building or repair work to this length of road, adjacent buildings, or utilities
- Vehicles requiring access to adjoining dwellings
- Agricultural vehicles requiring access to adjoining land.
