These changes to the speed limit on the A442 will ensure better driver compliance with the 30mph speed restriction through the village as it will be shorter, and more centred around the village extents.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF BRIDGNORTH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

We propose to change the speed limit on the A442 through Norton to:

a)    A 30mph speed limit on that length of the A442 Bridgnorth to Telford Road from a point 106 metres north of its junction with Windmill Lane to a point 290 metres south of its junction with Village Road.

b)    A 40mph speed limit on:

              i. that length of the A442 Bridgnorth to Telford Road from a point 106 metres north of its junction with Windmill Lane for a distance of 290 metres in a northerly direction.

            ii. that length of the A442 Bridgnorth to Telford road from a point 290 metres south of its junction with Village Road for a distance of 213 metres in a southerly direction.
