Notice is given that Shropshire Council has received submission of the draft Pontesbury Neighbourhood Plan from Pontesbury Parish Council, under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. This submission includes:

• The draft of the Pontesbury Neighbourhood Plan – which also explains the extent of the area covered by the Neighbourhood Plan. Specifically, it aligns with the administrative area of Pontesbury Parish Council a map (page 7 of the draft document) of the Pontesbury council boundary;
• The Basic Conditions Statement;
• The Consultation Statement;
• The Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening Assessment;
• The Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) Screening Assessment

As such, Shropshire Council will now consult on the draft Pontesbury Neighbourhood Plan and its supporting documents in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

This consultation will run from 28 October to 9 December 2022. Representations must be received by Shropshire Council no later than 5pm on 9 December 2022.

Any representations may include a request to be notified of Shropshire Council’s eventual decision under Regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 in relation to the draft Pontesbury Neighbourhood Plan.

The draft of the Pontesbury Neighbourhood Plan; Basic Conditions Statement; Consultation Statement; Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) Screening Assessment are available to view on this webpage. A copy has also been made available at Pontesbury library, and at Shirehall.

Elements of the evidence base prepared to inform the draft Shropshire Local Plan are also relevant to the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
