Shifnal Town Centre – Parking restrictions

Description

The additional area of restricted parking zone (no loading at any time) will permit enforcement of unauthorised vehicles who are waiting or loading within the pedestrianised area.

The extended section of Restricted Parking Zone along Aston Street will provide clarity to road users of the no waiting restrictions through the use of signage instead of road markings.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (CHEAPSIDE AND ASTON STREET, SHIFNAL) (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to make the following changes to parking restrictions on Cheapside and Aston Street, Shifnal:

Restricted Parking Zone

No Waiting or Loading At Any Time
(Except for traders /authorised vehicles for markets / events)

Cheapside

The adopted area in front of Noram House bound by Bradford Street, Victoria Road and the driveway servicing the access to Noram House

 

Restricted Parking Zone
No Waiting At Any Time

Aston Street (north side)

From its junction with Bradford Street to a point 116 metres east of that junction

Aston Street (south side)

From its junction with Bradford Street to a point 123 metres east of that junction

No Waiting At Any Time

Aston Street (north side)

From a point 116 metres east of its junction with Bradford Street to a point 138 metres east of that junction.

Aston Street (south side)

From a point 123 metres east of its junction with Bradford Street to a point 138 metres east of that junction.

Any existing restrictions at the above locations will be revoked.
