Changes are proposed to the existing loading restrictions to improve consistency of the restrictions in this area and improve the flow of traffic through the town centre. It is proposed that the existing redundant bus stop on Bridge Street be removed as it is no longer in use. It is also proposed that this area becomes part of the Restricted Parking Zone. |

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (VARIOUS ROADS, SHREWSBURY) (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER
Shropshire Council proposes to make the following changes to parking restrictions in Shrewsbury:
Restricted Parking Zone No Waiting or Loading At Any Time
Barker Street (north east side) From its junction with Bellstone to its junction with Bridge Street.
Barker Street (south west side) Between a point 27 metres north-west of the northern property boundary of No 5 Barker Street to a point 2 metres north-west of the south-eastern flank wall of The Tannery
Between a point 20 metres north west of the south-eastern flank wall of The Tannery and its junction with Bridge Street.
Bridge Street (both sides) From its junction with Barker Street to its junction with Lower Claremont Bank and Hills Lane.
St Austin’s Street (both sides) Between its junction with Claremont Bank and Lower Claremont Bank and its junction with Bridge Street and Barker Street.
No Waiting At Any Time
No Loading Mon-Sat 8:15am - 9:15am and 12:15pm - 1:15pm and 4pm - 6pm
Bridge Street (both sides) From its junction with Lower Claremont Bank and Hills Lane to its junction with Mardol Quay and Welsh Bridge.
Any existing restrictions at the above locations will be revoked.
