Shropshire Council is proposing to extend the 20mph zone in Wem further along Mill Street, and onto some adjoining roads. The proposals also include the implementation of a new zebra crossing on Mill Street to aid pedestrians in crossing this busy road. These measures will reduce speeds, and assist casualty reduction and road safety in Wem. |

(SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER
Shropshire Council proposes to extend the existing 20mph speed limit zone in Wem, as follows:
Drawwell Lane – for its entire length.
Wellgate – for its entire length.
Mill Street – from its junction with High Street to a point 91 metres north-east of its junction with Eckford Park.
Leek Street – for its entire length.

ESTABLISHMENT OF ZEBRA PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
MILL STREET, WEM
Notice is hereby given that Shropshire Council in exercise of their powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, propose to establish a zebra pedestrian crossing as follows:
Zebra pedestrian crossing on MILL STREET, WEM at a point approximately 9 metres north-east of its junction with Drawwell Lane.
