Your local sexual health team offers many free services, including:

  • STI testing and treatment
  • PrEP
  • C-Card (condoms & lube)

… and many other services!

If you're aged 16+ and have no symptoms, you can order an STI testing kit online, which you can take yourself and post back. The kit comes in plain packaging and can test for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis. Find out more about these testing kits on the OpenClinic website.

For those with symptoms, or who would prefer to visit a clinic, the sexual health clinic at Severn Fields Health Village provides booked appointment and walk-in clinics. You can book an appointment online, or by calling 0300 404 2996. The latest clinic opening times can also be found on the website.

PrEP is a drug taken by HIV-negative people before and after sex that reduces the risk of getting HIV, and is available for free from our sexual health service. Find out more from the OpenClinic website.

The C-Card is a free card which you can use to get free condoms and lube from lots of local places, including some pharmacies, GPs and online. People aged 16 and over can also register for a C-Card online, and there is a full list of places where you can use your C-Card on the C-Card page of the OpenClinic website.

There's an LGBTQ+ sexual health section on the OpenClinic website with relevant information specifically for the local LGBTQ + community. The section features pages for men who have sex with men, women who have sex with women and trans and non-binary people, in addition to information about PrEP and PEP, LGBTQ+ groups/organisations, and making sex safer.
