The Council is trialling cross pavement channels, known as Gullies, on a limited basis to allow vehicle charging from residential properties. These will take the form of channels across the pavement to on street parking.

The Government is also in the process of producing guidance to help inform council policies. Until policies are formulated the Council is also trialling a number of different options to help determine the most practical and cost effective solution. Residents can install their own infrastructure at their own cost, subject to approvals and the provisions contained in the Streetworks Act.
