To inform the ongoing Local Plan Review, we undertook a ten-week preferred sites consultation, which started on the 29 November 2018. This consultation sought views on:

• A housing policy direction to improve the delivery of local housing needs
• Development guidelines and development boundaries for Shrewsbury, the principal and key centres and each proposed community Hub
• Preferred sites to deliver the preferred scale and distribution of housing and employment growth during the period 2016 to 2036

During this consultation, more than 3,600 unique respondents commented. These included local residents, businesses, town and parish councils, neighbouring local authorities, statutory consultees and a range of other organisations. The responses informed the subsequent development of the Local Plan Review.
