Title of scheme

New Street, Shrewsbury – Experimental One Way

Description

The introduction of one-way traffic on New Street will reduce the risk to pedestrians and other non-motorised users due to the narrow footways and traffic ‘pinch-points’ which are the nature of this historic road. The introduction of an advisory contraflow cycle lane on New Street between Quarry Place and Park Avenue on the
south-bound carriageway will allow the safe passage of cyclists.
